Well it turns out I had never found the problem (September 17, 2008, 06:29:51 PM) quote
Well it turns out I had never found the problem on their forum… because the forum had moved and I didn't know about it :->
On the new Google-based discussion list, there are multiple reports of this process crashing. Hopefully, the developpers are already aware of the problem,

For what it's worth, I have OG running on 3 computers with 2 different OS X versions and don't see this issue. It's quite likely Growl has some conflict with something else on your system. You might also try making sure you have the current Growl version and even if you do just reinstalling Growl.

Good luck.

I have the latest version. The Growl discussion list seems to report the problem exclusively for the latest version actually.
I have it installed on several computers and only one is affected right now. No idea why this one and not others. I'm trying to compare the type of notifications selected for the many applications I have that use Growl (starting with OmniGrowl).
